Hello,

My name is Aleisha Stewart, and I am excited to fill the role of elementary school counsellor for both Lynn Valley and Blueridge. I graduated from the University of Victoria with my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology. Over the years I have worked with both elementary students, secondary students, and adults. Previously, I have been a high school art teacher.

I enjoy empowering individuals to reach their full potential and achieve their dreams and goals. I am eclectic in my therapeutic approach, and I try to be responsive to each person's needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, and social skills education.

On a personal note, I enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, off-roading, and just generally exploring the "end of the road." I love going for walks with my dog Hannah, and recharging in nature. My explorations have taken me to some extremely beautiful places, and I would like to thank all the various First Nations communities that have hosted me over the years, for being able to work, live, and play on their traditional territories.
